Sacred Heart parish, Bayside, is offering a number of different opportunities for Lenten reflection.
On Thursday, Feb. 18, at 7 p.m. and Monday, Feb. 29, at 2 p.m., there will be the showing of “Babette’s Feast,” which has been described as “the ultimate film of selfless love.” The viewing will take place in the church hall.
On Thursday, March 10, “In Our Son’s Name: A Documentary on the Transformation of Tragedy,” will be shown in the hall at 7:30 p.m.
There will be a Lenten Evening of Prayer on Sunday, March 13, at 7 p.m. in the church, featuring a meditative candlelight experience in the tradition of Taize prayer.
Finally, The Labyrinth, A Pilgrimage Into the Heart of Mercy will take place in the church hall Monday to Thursday, March 14-17, 10 a.m. to noon, and 7-8:30 p.m.
