Brooklyn’s 151st annual Kings County Memorial Day Parade, the nation’s oldest large city Memorial Day Parade, will be held on Monday, May 28 at 11 a.m. in Bay Ridge. The parade is sponsored by the United Military Veterans of Kings County.
This year’s grand marshal is Lieutenant General Robert L. Caslen, the superintendent of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. The U.S. Military Academy Band will lead the parade along Third Avenue from 78th Street to Marine Avenue, then up to Fourth Avenue and over to John Paul Jones Park at 101st Street. Immediately following the parade, a memorial service will be held in John Paul Jones Park to honor all those who lost their lives in service to this country.
