Staten Island Couple Retraces Wedding Day in Brooklyn on 40th Anniversary

Barbara and Mario Belluomo returned to their Brooklyn roots to revisit where they met, fell in love, and got married. To celebrate their 40th anniversary on Aug. 23, the Staten Island couple took a spontaneous trip and retraced their steps at the various venues from their wedding day.

Queens Holocaust Survivor Continues Fighting for Family Property in Poland

Holocaust survivor Lea Balitzer Evron, 85, remembers the three-story apartment building and fur factory her father owned in Zywiec, Poland, and the small garden area she would play in as a child. She also recalls the years she and her family fled their home in September of 1939 after the Nazis invaded Poland, going into hiding as a five-year-old.
