Our Lady of Mount Carmel (OLMC) parish, Astoria, celebrated Mass Jan. 1 in honor of Nuestra Senora de la Nube, a devotion from Ecuador. Organized by Klever Rodriguez, the celebration of Our Lady of the Clouds attracted more than 500 parishioners for a Mass, procession and reception. The main celebrant was native Ecuadorian, Father Angel Jimenez, parochial vicar at Corpus Christi, Woodside. Concelebrating was OLMC pastor, Msgr. Sean G. Ogle. Deacons Manuel Barahona and Juan Zhagnay assisted.
