Dear Editor: Sister Ave Clark of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, Bayside, has thrown 61 of us, from different communities, a lifeline in the form of a phone chat room.

We “gather together” in small groups at different times on various days — my time is 7:00 p.m. on Thursdays — to share in prayer, song, and short chats about how our faith is helping us to get through this crisis of health.

It is truly amazing how just hearing your friends’ laughter can be so uplifting in this time of sheltering alone. We all wish to thank Sister Ave and her “techy” friends for setting up this “lifeline” — until we meet again.
