Father Robert Lauder and the Office of Faith Formation, School of Evangelization, present the 51st Friday Film Festival at the Immaculate Conception Pastoral Center, Douglaston, on six Fridays in the spring at 7:30 p.m. The schedule includes:
March 18 – John Michael McDonach’s “Calvary,” starring Brendan Gleason and Chris O’Dowd
April 1 — Elia Kazan’s “Gentleman’s Agreement,” starring Gregory Peck, Dorthy McGuire and John Garfield
April 8 — Francis Ford Coppolla’s “The Conversation,” with Gene Hackman, John Cazale and Frederick Forrest
April 15 — Lasse Halstrom’s “Chocolat,” starring Juliette Binoche, Johnny Depp and Judi Dench
April 22 — Rob Reiner’s “A few Good Men,” with Tom Cruise, Jack Nicholson, Kevin Bacon and Demi Moore
April 29 — Eric Rohmer’s “Chloe in the Afternoon” (subtitles) starring Bernard Verley, ZouZou and Francoise Verley (Catholic Office Rating: For Adults)
The suggested donation for the series is $25, or $6 per film. Tickets may be obtained at the door.
