Sister Francis Louise Sheridan, M.S.B.T., a native of Brooklyn who was born as Agnes Theresa Sheridan, died Feb. 14. She was 86.
Baptized in St. Agnes parish, Cobble Hill, she entered the Missionary Servants of the Blessed Trinity in 1949. She made her first profession of vows in 1951 and her final vows three years later.
A graduate of Seton Hall University, she earned a master’s degree in social work from Catholic University, Washington, D.C.
Among her stations of service were Trenton, N.J.; Charlotte, N.C.; Mobile, Ala.; and Harrisburg, Pa.
She was the diocesan director of Catholic Social Services in Mobile and Charlotte. In Charlotte, she also was director of refugee settlement, 1975-83.
The funeral and burial was at the motherhouse in Philadelphia.
