The 31st Great Irish Fair was held Sept. 15-16 in Coney “Ireland.” Organized by the Irish American Building Society Charities, the Fair benefits Catholic schools in Brooklyn and Queens. Thousands of attendees passed through the Fair grounds over the course of the weekend, but the highlight was the award ceremony recognizing notable men and women of Irish descent.
