As part of the Travel Study Course offered at St. Edmund Prep, Homecrest, students took a 10-day trip to Italy. Forty-four students and eight chaperones boarded a plane to experience the Italian culture firsthand instead of taking a virtual tour on the computer.
They toured Milan, Verona, Venice, Florence, Pisa, Assisi, Pompeii, Sorrento, Capri and Rome.
Throughout the academic year, students learned about Italian culture, history, language and art in all of the cities and regions they visited.
The trip is part of an ongoing tradition at St. Edmund Prep. Last year, students visited Ireland, and next year they are going to study and visit Greece.
