Dear Editor: It has come to my attention that veteran deaths from COVID-19 at Veterans Affairs (VA) hospitals have tripled.
My question is, are our VA hospitals doing enough for our veterans who are suffering from the coronavirus and many are dying?
I am a veteran of the U.S. Navy and have served during the Vietnam era and I am also a member of American Legion Post # 103 in Douglaston, and I am very concerned.
I just feel maybe more can and should be done for the health of our veterans. These brave men and women have served our country with honor, courage, and a dedication to duty.
As such these veterans need to be taken care of to the best our VA can provide them.
