Only in Print: With Newman Clubs, Students Keep The Faith | November 23, 2019

MANHATTAN — For those wondering if their children or grandchildren will still practice their Catholic faith during college, there is a place on many campuses that helps keep Catholic students in the fold.

That place is the Newman Club, named after St. John Henry Newman, the English convert and cardinal who was canonized last month. Newman Clubs have been popping up on college campuses in the United States since Newman’s death in 1890. There are now hundreds of them across the country…
