CORONA — Heavy rain didn’t stop hundreds of people from packing into the pews at Our Lady of Sorrows, Corona, for a standing room-only Sunday Mass on Oct. 27. A line formed outside the door as people waited to get inside, families greeted one another, the choir warmed up, and lively chatter in Spanish filled the church.
“We all come here for one thing, to worship God, and it’s special to be able to gather with family, with our church family, to thank God in a special way, and to receive Jesus in the Eucharist,” said Lourdes Aguilar, a catechist and longtime parishioner at Our Lady of Sorrows.
