Brother Alan Zodda, O.S.F. died August 2, 2019. Born Nicholas Zodda in the Bronx, he entered the Franciscan Brothers in February 1951 from Our Lady of Peace Parish, Lynbrook after having graduated from Valley Stream Central H.S. He taught at Our Lady of Good Counsel, St. Anthony of Padua, Our Lady of Lourdes, St. Patrick’s, St. Leonard’s, Bishop Ford (all in Brooklyn) and St. Francis Prep, both in Brooklyn and Fresh Meadows, Queens from 1953 until 2013. Burial was at Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury, N.Y.
