Deacon Michael J. Troy, a retired deacon of the Diocese of Brooklyn, died June 29 at Hamilton Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Dyker Heights. He was 83.

Deacon Troy was ordained to the diaconate in 1990, and served as a deacon at Our Lady Help of Christians, Midwood, and Our Lady of Angels, Bay Ridge.

His Funeral Mass took place at St. Andrew the Apostle, Bay Ridge, on July 3. Burial was at Holy Cross Cemetery, East Flatbush.
