A number of CHSFL players represented New York City in the 24th annual Empire Challenge, hosted by former NFL quarterback Boomer Esiason’s foundation for cystic fibrosis.
The City All-Star team lost to the Long Island All-Stars, 44-20, on June 14 at James M. Shuart Stadium on
the campus of Hofstra University, Hempstead, L.I.
The following local Catholic League seniors played in the game:
Roberto Auguste: running back, Xaverian H.S., Bay Ridge
Tyriek Dodd: tight end, Holy Cross H.S. Flushing
Darryl Fuller Jr.: offensive lineman, Christ the King H.S., Middle Village
Jesikiyah Moore: defensive lineman, Christ the King
Rudy Silvera: defensive back, Christ the King
Jahlani Sundar: defensive back, Christ the King
Jahlil Watson: linebacker, Christ the King
