Visit the Spring Fair Flea Market at Our Lady of Grace parish in Gravesend. Vendors will sell old and new items on April 6, 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. and on April 7 9a.m. – 6 p.m. There will also be an Easter Egg Hunt on April 7, 3-5 p.m. for a fee of $5. The Easter bunny will be available for pictures on the same day 2-3 p.m., also for $5. Join the fun and enjoy some BBQ food. Pies for Pi Day at Immaculate Conception
Immaculate Conception Catholic Academy, Jamaica Estates, marked the mathematical holiday, Pi day, March 14, by selling fruit pies. The event was a fundraiser for the Sisters of St. Joseph, Brentwood, who founded the school and who celebrate their feast day on St. Joseph’s Day on March 19. One of the classes decided to have a pie eating contest to mark the occasion.
