Sister Christine Marie Nicoletto, O.S.F. (formerly Sister Christine Marie of the Crucifixion), 83, died in Assisi House in Aston, Pa., on June 6.
Born in Huntington, L.I., she was a member of St. Patrick’s parish and was a graduate of Simpson H.S.
In 1958 she entered the Sisters of St. Francis of Ringwood, N.J., a congregation that later merged with the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia. She professed her first vows as a Franciscan sister in 1969.
She ministered for 47 years in the Diocese of Paterson, N.J., six years in the Archdiocese of Newark, and three years in the Diocese of Brooklyn teaching at Holy Family School, Canarsie, and at St. Francis of Paola School, Williamsburg.
Burial was in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Aston.
