60 Years as a Marist Brother

Brother Patrick Lally
Brother Patrick, F.M.S.

Brother Patrick Lally, F.M.S., was born in Manhattan and entered the Marist Brothers Novitiate, Esopus, N.Y. in 1955. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Marist College and a master’s from Fordham University.

He taught at St. Helena-Msgr. Scanlan H.S., Bronx, NY; St. Mary’s H.S., Manhasset, L.I., and served as assistant principal at St. Joseph Academy, Brownsville, Texas. He also served as Acting President of Guadalupe Regional Middle School, Brownsville, Texas.

He taught at Archbishop Molloy H.S., Briarwood, and was the school’s plant manager for over 25 years. He retired from that position in 2013.

He presently resides at a Marist Brothers community in Manhasset, L.I.

  1. He’s my dad’s (former Brother Patrick John Clarke) cousin. My Dad was a Senior when Brother Patrick Lally was a freshman, and he taught at The Mount.
