Father Robert Lauder, a regular on NET-TV’s “Reel Faith,” and the Secretariat for Evangelization and Catechesis, present the 55th Friday Film Festival on six Fridays at the Immaculate Conception Center, Douglaston, this spring.
March 16 – Billy Wilder’s “The Lost Weekend,” starring Ray Milland and Jane Wyman and Phillip Terry
March 23 – Edward Dmytryk’s “Crossfire,” with Robert Young, Robert Ryan, Gloria Grahame, Robert Mitchum
April 6 – Nicholas Ray’s “Rebel Without a Cause,” starring James Dean and Natalie Wood
April 13 – Stuart Hazeldine’s “The Shack,” starring Sam Worthington and Octavia Spencer
April 27 – Tony Gilroy’s “Michael Clayton,” starring George Clooney, Tom Wilkinson and Tilda Swinton
May 4 – Charles Vidor’s “Cover Girl,” starring Rita Hayworth, Gene Kelly, Phil Silvers and Eve Arden
Films will be shown at 7:30 p.m.
The suggested donation for the series is $25, and for a single film, $6. All tickets may be obtained at the door.
