Dear Editor: Serving as a teacher’s aide in the Catherine Laboure Program, which serves special ed, speech and learning-impaired students, I am proud to share this information with Tablet readers.
Very recently, I was approached by parents of our former students who had graduated a while ago. Some of these students have even been affected by Down’s Syndrome.
These parents were proud to report that their children were doing quite well “in the outside world.”
This progress and success was mainly due to the training and education they had received while students at Laboure! They complimented the dedication, skills and kindness of the administration, the teachers and the entire staff at Laboure.
To me, this said it all. Laboure is celebrating its 50th year.
