Three individual records were broken at the annual CYO girls’ swim Olympics, at the Eisenhower Park Aquatic Center, East Meadow, L.I. Tess Howley (St. Francis de Sales, Belle Harbor) broke a 32-year-old record for the Bantam 25-Yard Freestyle with a time of 12.37. She now holds two CYO records, including the Novice 25-yard backstroke. Grace Adam (St. Anselm/Our Lady of Angels, Bay Ridge) broke a 22-year-old record for the Junior 50-yard backstroke with a time of 29.33. Hannah Harkins (St. Francis de Sales) set a new record in the Senior 50-yard butterfly with a time of 28.24.

The Sacred Heart cheerleading squad from East Glendale attended a Rockville Centre Diocese CYO competition at Holy Trinity H.S., Hicksville, L.I. The team won two medals. The first was the highest award for sportsmanship, and the second was a cheer excellence award received for their participation. Congratulations to the Wildcats!
