The Msgr. McClancy, East Elmhurst, choral group, pictured above, under the direction of Theresa Busso and Brother Joseph Rocco, S.C., president, sang the National Anthem at Citi Field, Flushing, May 8 to welcome back a former Crusader, Chicago White Sox pitching coach Don Cooper, ‘74. This was Cooper’s first road trip playing in Queens, since the Mets had never hosted an interleague series against the White Sox in their history. The event was coordinated by McClancy teacher Ann Smith and featured nearly 500 current students and their families, Brothers of the Sacred Heart, alumni, faculty, staff and friends of Cooper.
