Catholics from Glendale and Ridgewood walked from daylight into the night on Good Friday, accompanying the tomb of Jesus and the Sorrowful Mother. Starting at St. Pancras Church, Glendale, they prayed the rosary in Italian and English. Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio joined the community for liturgy at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, Ridgewood. He spoke in Italian, asking the people to take away a lesson of forgiveness from the events of Good Friday. He urged them to forgive freely and accept forgiveness.
