Born and raised in Bay Ridge, she attended St. Anselm’s grammar school, Bishop Kearney H.S., Bensonhurst, and went on to receive a bachelor’s degree in media communications from Niagara University, Niagara, N.Y.

She currently serves as the president of the Bay Ridge St. Patrick’s Day Parade with which she has been involved for the last 12 years.

She was in the first round of women voted into the St. Patrick’s Society of Brooklyn executive board, which was traditionally a men-only club. She is an active member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians (LAOH), Div. 22. Recently, serves on the board of directors for St. Anselm’s Catholic Academy and is a past recipient of “Brooklyn’s Extraordinary Women” honors by then-Brooklyn District Attorney Charles Hynes.

This past summer, she received the inaugural Irish Echo Newspaper “Community Champions” award.

She is employed as a senior producer at NBCUniversal-Content Innovation Agency (CIA). CIA serves as NBCU’s internal creative agency.

She is proud to be the daughter of Hugh and Geraldine Gallagher; sister to Catherine (Rob Rose), Hughie (MaryKate) and Daniel (Kristen) and aunt to many nieces and nephews. She traces her Irish roots to Achill Island, Co. Mayo, Co. Roscommon and Co. Kerry.

She and her husband, Donnie, a project superintendent at Turner Construction, reside in Breezy Point.
