Former New York Mets’ closer and Brooklyn native John Franco made a special guest appearance at Mercedes Benz of Brooklyn July 8 in anticipation of Saturday’s MLB All-Star Game 5K run at Prospect Park.

Franco is the captain of “Team Franco.” Proceeds from the race benefit the ongoing Hurricane Sandy relief effort.

In the above photo, Franco is joined by New York Jets’ nose tackle Antonio Garay, WFAN morning show host Craig Carton, Brooklyn Cyclones’ director of new business development Gary Perone and Doug Wells, the president and general manager of Mercedes Benz of Brooklyn.
