The Camp Veritas Experience: Why You Should Go

Camp Veritas is a week-long sleep away camp for Catholic middle school and high school students. They have several camps over the summer and for the past two years St. Sebastian’s Youth Ministry has gone to the August camp located on the camp grounds of Camp Lakota in Wurtsboro, N.Y.

Teens Share Faith at Diocesan Youth Day

The Immaculate Conception Center, Douglaston, hosted nearly 750 youth from all over the diocese as the final installment of this year’s Brooklyn Catholic Youth Day event.

Teens Embrace Faith at Brooklyn Catholic Youth Day

Two thousand teens from 65 parishes and schools came to Carnesecca Arena at St. John’s University, Jamaica, to experience this year’s Brooklyn Catholic Youth Day on Saturday, April 30. The day was filled with prayer, music, talks and fun opportunities for fellowship for junior high and high school teens from parishes around the diocese.

At the annual Lenten Penance Service at St. Dominic Church, Bensonhurst, young people acted out how Jesus defeats the world’s efforts to reduce people to instruments. The message was that He is there to help people get over life’s temptations.
