Students at St. Saviour’s H.S., Park Slope, were awarded with the title of “Best School Unit” at the 2016 Irish American Parade in Manhattan. They received the recognition during a May 21 ceremony at the annual Donegal Hill Gathering and Tara Festival at Holy Name parish’s Shepherd’s Hall.

St. Saviour Junior Scores 1,000th Point

Lauren Duggan, the point guard and a co-captain of the Pandas varsity team, became the first player in school history to reach the 1,000-point mark as a junior. She accomplished the feat Feb. 5 in the team’s final home game of the season, a non-league matchup against St. Vincent Ferrer, Manhattan.

I believe that the problem of hunger should not exist in the global community. So much food goes to waste and people take things like food for granted. We should support soup kitchens and food drives to help distribute food more evenly.
