For the past few months, Margaret Brower and her husband Tony Ercolano of St. Kevin’s parish in Flushing have hosted a special prayer group every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. with any fellow parishioners who wished to attend.
Celebrating the feast day of its patron saint in style, St. Kevin’s, Flushing, welcomed Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio to bless the newly completed renovations to the church and school June 3. Joining the bishop on the altar were members of the priesthood ordination class of 2017, celebrating their one-year anniversary.

Solemn Vespers was celebrated for the 50th anniversary of consecrated life of Agnes Rus, apostolic oblate at St. Kevin Church, Flushing, Oct. 29.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Father Charles B. Kehoe, a retired priest of the diocese, was celebrated Aug. 28 at St. Kevin’s Church, Flushing. He died Aug. 24 at L.I. Jewish Medical Center. He was 85.
The group, from St. Kevin parish, Flushing, had just spent eight days with the staff and the developmentally disabled children and young adults of the Mustard Seed Communities in Diriamba and Managua. They had scrubbed, primed and painted walls, washed windows, and helped with gardening at Mustard Seed’s two facilities in Nicaragua.
