Ed Wilkinson is receiving the Al O’Hagan Community Leadership Award. Wilkinson has been the editor of The Tablet, Brooklyn’s diocesan newspaper, since June of 1985. He recently completed his 48th year as a member of The Tablet staff.

A memorial Mass for Father Dagoberto Noguera will be celebrated at St. Anthony-St. Alphonsus Church.
A Brooklyn priest who had returned to Colombia to live in retirement, was brutally murdered there on Saturday, March 10. Father Dagoberto Noguera, 68, was killed in his residence in Mamatoco, Colombia. He was currently doing social work in the capital of Magdalena.

The religious brothers of the diocese were honored along with women religious at a jubilee celebration May 22 at Immaculate Conception Center, Douglaston. They were guests of honor at a liturgy celebrated by Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio and at the dinner that followed.
