The Mary Louis Academy’s Robotics Team has strengthened the interest of many students in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) as we worked and planned to build our robot for this year’s theme “Deep Space” at FIRST Competition.
Watching disturbing developments in politics, entertainment, the economy and even the Catholic Church – especially in light of a recent summit in Rome focusing on the sexual abuse of children by clergy – many people in the 21st century could be forgiven for thinking that the idea of robots taking over the world might not be so bad.
The robotics team at St. Edmund Prep H.S., Sheepshead Bay, volunteered at the Boy Scouts of America’s Brooklyn Merit Badge and Training Expo that was held at Our Lady of Grace parish, Gravesend.
