Though thousands of miles away from Mexico City, Latin American faithful in Queens were able to follow the papal Mass live from the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe Feb. 13. Braving freezing cold temperatures, about 350 parishioners gathered at Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary parish, Jamaica, to watch the Mass broadcast through NET-TV.

Nearly 300 parishioners and priests from 70 parishes in the diocese joined together to kick-off Block 2 of the Generations of Faith capital campaign, which already has raised more than $65 million thus far for the diocese’s Catholic Foundation since launching just a year ago.
With parish communities invigorated by the papal trip, Generations of Faith has continued to roll. Collectively, these parishes have secured $27 million to date – with over 6,500 gifts from parishioners.
