The girls’ version of the Msgr. King Basketball Tournament returned to St. Thomas Aquinas, Flatlands, for the first time since 2005.

Hoops Tradition Lives On at Msgr. King Tourney
The tournament enjoyed its 48th year of keeping the tradition alive. Eight local boys’ varsity hoops teams took to the Msgr. King Hall floor where so many greats before them once played.
Msgr. King Tourney Returns to Flatlands
The Msgr. King Basketball Tournament returned to the St. Thomas Aquinas Dec. 26-30. Named after Msgr. Jeremiah J. King – the parish pastor who oversaw the building of the gym – it was the first high school tournament played in a grammar school gym in the country.
