Two keynote speakers addressed the Leadership Conference of Women Religious assembly in Atlanta about keeping grounded and the mystery found in a changing world.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Sisters’ motherhouse in Monroe, Mich., for Sister Margaret Brennan, an Immaculate Heart of Mary Sister who served as president of the Leadership Conference of Women Religious (LCWR) in 1972.
The president of the Leadership Conference of Women Religious said the organization is pleased to be “going on with our normal life, so to speak.”
The agreement ended a seven-year process of investigating the group and engaging in dialogue with its officers to ensure greater harmony with Church teaching.
