More than 200 students from all levels of seminary formation celebrated the Inter-Seminary Day of Prayer and Fellowship Nov. 1 at the Immaculate Conception Center in Douglaston. The day started with a Mass celebrated by Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio.
Msgr. Michael Dempsey, a senior Brooklyn priest and a pioneer in national television ministry, died March 10 at his private residence in Astoria. He was 84.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Msgr. George M. Schuster, pastor emeritus of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal parish, Ridgewood, was celebrated Dec. 7 at the church. He died Dec. 3 at New York Presbyterian Hospital. He was 85.
Sister Anne Marie Dean, CSJ, formerly Sister Mary Michaeline, died Nov. 15 in Maria Regina Residence, Brentwood, in the 59th year of religious life.
The earthly remains of Brooklyn’s first three bishops are back in the Brooklyn Diocese after resting in the neighboring Diocese of Rockville Centre for the past 59 years. The coffins of Bishops John Loughlin, Charles E. McDonnell and Archbishop Thomas E. Molloy were removed from the crypt at Immaculate Conception Seminary, Huntington, L.I., and brought to their new resting place at Immaculate Conception Pastoral Center, Douglaston, on Aug. 3.
