Fourteen Priests Observe 25 Years of Priesthood

Seven of the men who are celebrating their 25th anniversaries as priests were ordained by Bishop Thomas V. Daily on June 1, 1991. Details of the other ordinations are included in these brief biographies.

The Third Annual Bishop Ignatius A. Catanello Memorial Dinner-Dance will be held on Saturday, March 12, at Immaculate Conception Pastoral Center, Douglaston. It will begin with Mass at 6 p.m. in the chapel.

Retired Prison Chaplain Dies at 82 in Florida

A Mass of Christian Burial for Father John H. Wilkinson, 82, a senior priest of the diocese, was celebrated Nov. 30 in the chapel at Immaculate Conception Center, Douglaston. He died Nov. 23 in Venice, Florida, where he was living in retirement.

Annual Lawler Dinner Supports Senior Priests

The eighth annual Kathie and Christopher Lawler Dinner-Dance was held on Saturday, Nov. 21 at the Immaculate Conception Center, Douglaston. This year’s event raised $65,000 for the Lawler Extraordinary Needs Fund for Senior Priests which, to date, has raised $600,000 to assist senior priests in the diocese.

Annual Meeting Brings Local Deacons Together
