The CHSAA and GCHSAA played the Public Schools Athletic League (PSAL) in this year’s N.Y.C. Mayor’s Cup baseball and softball games to be crowned “best in the city.” The GCHSAA softball team won its game, 13-3, while the CHSAA baseball team dropped its contest, 2-1.

Nazareth H.S., East Flatbush, will host its annual Eugene McCarthy Memorial 5K Run/Walk Saturday, June 2 in Marine Park. The race honors the memory of Maj. Eugene McCarthy, a 1973 graduate of Nazareth who gave his life for country in 1991 during Operation Desert Storm.
CHSAA Enshrines New Class of Hall of Famers
The CHSAA hosted its 33rd annual Hall of Fame induction ceremony and golf outing May 10 at the Inwood Country Club. This year’s class was made up of seven deserving inductees who dedicated their lives to the local sports scene.
