Maxwell Owobu, a senior at Fordham Preparatory School, had an epiphany while visiting relatives in Ghana two years ago that changed his life and put him on a path to changing the lives of others. He started a foundation to help kids afford to go to school.
Kaya Bednarczuk is one of several members of the St. Gabriel Society, a youth group at Sacred Heart Church in Glendale, who raised money for a project to dig a well in the Ghanaian village of Adzonkor to provide fresh water to residents there.
