New York Prepares For Francis

Since last week, New Yorkers and tourists in Midtown Manhattan have been gazing up at a smiling Pope Francis at one of New York’s busiest intersections. The 225-foot tall hand-painted billboard welcomes the pope, who will be in New York, Sept. 24-26.

Irish Prepare for Fair in Coney ‘Ireland’

The Great Irish Fair is just one month away and organizers officially launched this year’s festivities with a reception at St. Francis College, Brooklyn Heights, Aug. 13. Attendees had a chance to meet the honorees and whet their appetites for the fair, set for Sept. 26-27 at MCU Park in Coney Island.
