Rett Awareness in the Rockaways
An ocean of purple filled St. Rose of Lima School, Rockaway Beach, when students, faculty and staff participated in a purple dress down day in support of Rett Syndrome last month. Inspired by a little girl living with Rett in the Rockaways, Valentina Priolo, the school raised awareness and funds for this illness. Theresa Andersen, principal, and the school community are grateful to students Gabriella Sodano and Mairead and Aine Harkins for becoming loving advocates of their friend and her struggle.
