Only in The Tablet: St. Gerard Majella Brings Hope to Families | October 29, 2019

HOLLIS — The miracle of life was evident at a Mass on Oct. 16, the feast day of St. Gerard Majella, at the saint’s namesake parish in Hollis.

That’s partly because Matteo Amoroso, an 18-month-old, and his brother, Luciano, 5, were at the Mass, which was celebrated by Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio. Father JosephJude Gannon, the pastor, was a concelebrant.

Father Gannon knows the struggles that Matteo and Luciano’s parents, Josephine, 48, and Anthony, 47, had in becoming pregnant.

It’s the same journey of many others who came to the Mass honoring the patron of childbirth have had, or are still having…
