St. Frances Cabrini Academy: Study ~ Pray ~ Work ~ Play

Thousands of boys and girls have walked the halls of St. Frances Cabrini since the school opened almost 100 years ago. Children begin their days here with prayer and encouragement to take responsibility for oneself, respect others and do their personal best.

Located in Bushwick, St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Academy offers a community of faith and learning for children in pre-kindergarten through grade eight, and strives to provide a quality Catholic education and formation for children.

Within an atmosphere that promotes inquiry and self-expression, faculty and staff provide the skills and competencies necessary for students to achieve academic excellence, and to function as faithful citizens advancing the common good.

Students are engaged in critical reasoning and problem solving, taught to make positive and ethical choices and to develop right relationships in order to grow into capable, inquisitive and faith-filled young men and women. Recognizing that parents are the first educators, the academy welcomes continued participation and partnership from families in the education of their children.

The educational vision of the academy is to provide a solid foundation for children of multicultural communities, so that they may grow into young people exemplifying excellence in character, competence, critical thinking, and creativity.

St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Academy strives to maintain an academically challenging, inclusive, safe and caring environment where students will encounter the person of Jesus Christ and embrace Him intellectually, spiritually, and emotionally. Furthermore, faculty and staff seek to instill within each student the desire to embrace lifelong learning.

The academy collaborates and partners with several organizations and institutions within Bushwick and the greater Brooklyn area, including Stages On the Sound, Catapult Learning, GoQuest Learning, and Churches United for Fair Housing.

An after-school program is offered five days a week, through 6 p.m., to help work- ing parents.
