>>Marlowe Makes Falcons’ Roster

Dean Marlowe, a graduate and former football standout at Holy Cross H.S., Flushing, made the roster of the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons. A quarterback in high school, Marlowe is now a free safety on defense. The 30-year-old previously spent time with the Carolina Panthers, Buffalo Bills, and Detroit Lions.

Congratulations to the Sacred Heart, Glendale, Catholic Youth Organization boys’ high school division team for winning the St. Stan’s, Maspeth, summer league championship.


>> Prep Commits

Joshua Pascarelli, a senior guard on the St. Francis Prep, Fresh Meadows, boys’ varsity basketball team, has committed to continue his basketball career at Marist College, Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

A 2021-2022 Tablet All-Star and member of the CHSAA All- League Second Team, Pascarelli averaged 13.6 points per game as a junior while leading the team with 55 3-pointers.

Pascarelli will join his former teammate Jaden Daughtry, who is set to begin his first season at Marist. As a senior last season, Daughtry averaged 12.1 points and 7.5 rebounds per game en route to being a CHSAA All-League First Team selection. He also tallied five triple-doubles on the season.
