Louis Lombardi, a graduate of St. Edmund Prep H.S., Sheepshead Bay, picked up his first victory on the mound as a member of the St. Joseph’s College Brooklyn, Clinton Hill, baseball team.

On April 23, the freshman right-hander came on in relief for the Bears and turned in a solid four innings, giving up just one hit, one run and two walks to go along with five strikeouts.

As a senior at St. Edmund’s, Lombardi was named the CHSAA ‘A’ Division Player of the Year in 2018. He was also named team co-M.V.P. as well as a Tablet All-Star in each of his varsity seasons for the Eagles.


Xaverian H.S., Bay Ridge, sophomore Ashley Kenny pitched a no-hitter for the Clippers’ junior varsity softball team on April 16.

The dominant complete-game effort featured 12 strikeouts. Kenny also went 3-for-3 at the plate and drove in three runs in victory.
