Sports Round-Up Aug. 15

Parents of Catholic Youth Organization participants can still complete the organization’s online survey asking whether they would be willing to have their children resume sports activity, even without a COVID-19 vaccine. To date, 64.5 percent of diocesan parents answered “Yes.” Visit www.cyodob.org to complete the survey.

As part of the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) Return to Play Safely and Smartly initiative, the organization will be hosting a skills development training program for basketball.

In partnership with the Sirakis Training Program, CYO is offering this opportunity for basketball athletes to return to activities safely in small group training sessions. This program will consist of 10 training sessions at an affordable cost. The training sessions will begin on outdoor basketball courts in Queens and Brooklyn in September.
