Sister Therese O’Malley, S.C., a Sister of Charity-Halifax for 69 years, died at Parkstone Enhanced Care, Halifax, Nova Scotia, April 25. She was 87.
Formerly Sister Patrick Therese, she taught fourth grade at Our Lady of Angels School, Bay Ridge, 1953-59.
She was also missioned in Nova Scotia, Quebec, Ontario and New Brunswick until she retired in 1988.
In 2004, she moved to Mount St. Vincent Motherhouse, Halifax, and eventually to Parkstone Enhanced Care.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at the Immaculate Conception Chapel in Caritas Residence, Halifax, April 28. Burial followed at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia.
