Sister Lucille Feron, S.C., a Sister of Charity, Halifax, N.S., for 68 years, died at Parkstone Enhanced Care, Halifax, Nov. 9. She was 88.

Formerly known as Sister Marion David, she taught the fifth grade at Resurrection-Ascension School, Rego Park, 1948-50, and taught at St. Sebastian School, Woodside, 1953-57 in grades seven and eight.

She also ministered in Riverton, N.J., and Nova Scotia, before retiring to Mount St. Vincent Motherhouse, Halifax, in 2002.

Failing health necessitated a move to Parkstone Enhanced Care in 2008.

She is survived by her brother Donald of California.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Nov. 16 in Immaculate Conception Chapel at Caritas Residence, Halifax.

Burial followed at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville, N.S.
