Sister Eileen M. Palma, I.H.M., (formerly known as Sister M. Virginia) of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, died March 8 at Our Lady of Peace Residence, Scranton, Pa. She was 88.

Born in Staten Island, and given the name Eileen Mae, she entered the IHM Congregation in 1948, and made her final profession of vows on Aug. 2, 1953.

Her only teaching assignment in the Brooklyn Diocese was at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs School, Forest Hills, 1950-53. Her other assignments were in upstate New York and Pennsylvania.

Interment was at St. Catherine’s Cemetery in Moscow, Pa.
