Retired Deacon Lawrence Mule, 70, died at the Hospice Inn, St. Peter’s Hospital, Albany, where he had been living.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Jan. 17 at St. Matthias Church, Ridgewood. Msgr. Anthony Sherman was the main celebrant, and Auxiliary Bishop Neil Tiedemann, C.P., presided.
Deacon John Sands preached the homily.
He was ordained May 16, 1998, and served at St. Matthias parish, Ridgewood, until 2014 when he moved to Albany.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor, and their children, Lawrence, Catherine, Peter and Michael.
Burial was in Mount St. Mary Cemetery, Flushing.
