In preparation for the coming of the Christ Child, all are invited to a Christmas tree lighting and Nativity scene blessing at the main entrance of Brooklyn’s Prospect Park in Grand Army Plaza, on Wednesday, Dec. 16, beginning at 4 p.m.
The cuori BELLissimi and faith formation children singers from Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Kensington, will take part in the prayer service. Students from the parish faith formation program will perform a live Nativity.
Father Michael Perry, pastor of Our Lady of Refuge Church, Flatbush, is helping to organize this effort.
