Each month, Pope Francis entrusts two special intentions to his worldwide prayer network, known as the Apostleship of Prayer. For June, the intentions are: That the aged, marginalized, and those who have no one may find – even within the huge cities of the world – opportunities for encounter and solidarity,” and “That seminarians and men and women entering religious life may have mentors who live the joy of the Gospel and prepare them wisely for their mission.”
Since 1844, the mission of the Apostleship of Prayer has been “to encourage Christians to make a daily offering of themselves to the Lord for the coming of God’s Kingdom and for the Holy Father’s monthly intentions.”
